Fans speak loud for Petty Enterprises
Attention all race fans! I am conducting a poll in an effort to bring Petty Enterprises back to the track. I don't think any race fan (Petty fan or not) is happy about this merger with GEM. We, the fans of the sport, can save this team! It takes millions to run a team, but there are millions of us out there who know how much Richard Petty has done for the sport, on and off the track. He's a legend and PE deserves our support. How many times have you heard Richard Petty say, "If it wasn't for the fans, there would be no Richard Petty?" Richard Petty is Nascar! So, post your thoughts and let me know if you would be willing to throw in a few bucks to save the King of Nascar? If enough respond postively, we could see the 43 car sponsored by 'Petty Fans of America." How cool would that be? I'm working on the details and contacting many venues, so it could take a while. In the meantime, just let me know your thoughts. Thanks. I will check my blog daily, and respond to as many of you as I can. I know I can count on Nascar fans throughout the country. Long live the King and Petty Enterprises!!

Reading the post put up today about the deal Richard made, you can see he is not some lost soul needing to be saved, he will be at the track, which is great! He will be in victory lane when the 43 wins, as he should be. He won't have to keep track, or be responsible for the millions to keep a car on the track. In his senior years he will be able to enjoy what he created over the years, and pass some of it on to the younger generations that will take over for him, with his influence. I think he got the best of both worlds. I am also kinda glad that it sounds like Kyle has no influence on this deal, at least I didn't see his name mentioned.
