Awesome Day of Racing

What an awesome day of racing yesterday. We started off with the Nationwide Seres race at Iowa Speedway. I could not be happier to see Brad Keselowski beat Kyle Busch in a great race at the tracks first Nationwide Race. Iowa Speedway created great racing all day, from battles for the lead to battles for track position in the pack. And Nascar's double file restarts have created the racing they wanted, espacially towards the end of the race. Of course Kyle Busch could not say what a great race, what a great track, or how he was happy with the great run he was on. He had the talk to the media with a second place finish, so he mumbled something about how the car was bad and how he was not good enough.

Then came the Truck and Indy Car race at the same time. The Truck race was not a great race, with Ron Hornaday dominating all day long. But to see history being made and his fifth straight win was pretty cool. The Camping World Truck Series rules continue to do nothing to improve the racing. You would think Nascar would change the pit rules back. It is not saving any money with guys getting tires and then coming back in for gas. And then why no double file restarts either. It has worked great in both the other series, why not bring it to the trucks.

Indy Car has had a bunch of boring races all season. Well, last night was anything but. There was some decent racing all day long, and a great finish with Ryan Briscoe beating Ed Carpenter by a few feet. I don't think Indy Car could have asked for a better finish. After qualifing getting "weepered" out, and rain coming down yesterday, a weekend that could have been a total mess turned out pretty good. My favorite driver Danica came in eighth, which I guess is not too bad.

Now if the rain and fog will go away and stay away in Pocono today so we can get the cup race in today. I am hoping for a race as good as yesterdays. Go Junior!
