Batman and Formula One

Batman is paying a visit to the British Grand Prix this weekend.

Panasonic Toyota Racing will take on the look of the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight" when it takes to the track this weekend at Silverstone. Movie artwork will be featured on the TF108s and also on the suits of drivers Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock.

Additionally, fans will get to see the Batmobile take to the track on Thursday evening for a demonstration run alongside the Toyota.

The movie is getting strong reviews and a lot of talk surrounds it considering it was Heath Ledger's last performance. It opens in a few weeks across the world.

I'm curious to see if the effort to promote this movie at a Formula One event will equal the promotion of the Star Wars movie "Revenge of the Sith" at the Grand Prix of Monte Carlo in 2005 when LucasFilms partnered with Red Bull Racing.

The team went as far as to dress its pit crew members as storm troopers and Darth Vader to showcase the film.

I wonder if Toyota will be that bold and have a few Batman characters in its pit area?
