Newest Superstar
I received an email today from a concerned fan who thought that Kyle Busch's Toyotas need to be scrutinized more by NASCAR because it seems to be an anomoly that he is winning so much this season. This fan seemed to think that he is winning because of some sort of advantage with his car.

Is it possible that he's just winning because he's on top of his game and has found his place in the field? It's not like he came from worst to first. On most of these tracks his statistics back up his 2008 success, that he's been building up to this kind of season.

And a superstar leading a sport isn't a new idea. Michael Schumacher did it in F1, Jeff Gordon led NASCAR back in the day, Sebastian Bourdais dominated the Champ Car World Series. Basketball has its superstars, football does as well, as does baseball, soccer and almost any other sport.

There always seems to be someone or some team that steps up at any given time and leads its sport. So it seems it is now Kyle Busch's time to lead the sport of stock car racing. There shouldn't be conspiracy theorists or angry fans. They can be upset their driver isn't winning but instead of booing Kyle Busch louder, they should encourage their favorite more.

Busch is hungry for the wins and races to get them. Get behind your driver and show him your support so that he challenges for the wins as well.

These new fans give me a pain. Busch is, as you say, hungry for wins. He races to win, not just for points. If the rest of the drivers want to beat him they had better step up to the plate. The CHASE is all well and good, but the main goal is to win races. The points will come if you race like Busch, every lap is the last and the goal is to win.

7 races in one season because he's stock car racing's new superstar? It's his "time to lead the sport of stock car racing?" You can be on top of your game and on top of your sport but unless your car is running wicked fast I don't care who you are you aren't winning that many races. Let's be honest
