T3Logic's Blog: T3Logic's Logic
Yesterday while I was at the Duel's I was thinking what can I do to make  my blog unique.  Then it hit me, I will give out an award to the dumbest move of the race and name it the Big Dummy Award.

What is the Big Dummy Award?
The Big Dummy Award is given to whome I think made the biggest mistake of the race.   Another words the  dumbest move.

So enough rambling here it is.

With multiple races and muliple altercations I thought I would have it easy to pick out the first ever Big Dummy award winner.  I was wrong because really the first big dummy award winner didn't even happen because of an incident on the track.

I am giving it to Gordon's crew because even though Gordon won the race the crew made a stupid mistake and now Gordon will start at the back.

Quote From Pemberton:
Robin Pemberton, NASCAR's vice president for competition, said bolts had been misaligned on the rear shocks installed prior to Thursday's race. Once the race started, the load on those misaligned bolts caused the car's quarterpanels, but not the roof, to be lower than the minimum allowed height.

"Honestly, I think it's something a mechanic made a mistake on as he bolted the shocks on during the installation process," Pemberton said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not a mechanic, I am a geek but I know I could proably put the bolts in correctly.

Honorable Mentions:
  • Michael Waltrip
  • Robby Gordon
So here's to Jeff's Crew.  Congratulations on winning the first ever Big Dummy award.

Jeff Gordon was not available for comment on his crew recieving the first ever Big Dummy award.

Come back sunday and see who take the Daytona 500 Big Dummy Award.

It's been awhile since I last posted so I figured today I would make a nice little post before this weekend of racing.

I am going to be at the track the next 4 days which I am pumped about. Anyone got a favorite driver if so reply and I will try to get a few pics for ya.  I will post them to my gallery.

I saw "Dale" on the 31'st.  It is a very good movie.  I am not going to go in to many details because I think everyone should see it when it comes out.  I might post more at a later date but I think before giving any spoilers out most should be able to see it.  Put it this way, I give it 5 out of 5 slams and will be first in line when it comes out on DVD.

As for this weeks drama.  Four Crew Chiefs being suspended already. Nice.  However the E crew has been talking about saving money, so I guess by sending the chiefs home early is one way to do it.

Mikey on the other hand is still on the burner.  Will he or won't he be sent home?  The question still remains.  I bet he gets sent home.

My prediction for tomorrow races will come tomorrow morning before I leave,  so check back and see if I get lucky.

What are your feelings on the new Nascar.com.  I have mixed feelings.  One the site takes a little bit of getting used to.  Being a geek at heart I have no problem with it but I can sympathize with those not geek inclined.  Another thing that gets my goat is the new community software.  I wanted to play with it and see if it's everything that they say it's going to be.  The advertisement states come back during speedweeks.  Last I checked speedweeks is almost over.  We have 3-4 days left.  I would like to post some nonsense before not after the race.

Be safe and have fun.  Go #8, #29, #7

Here is my superbowl prediction.  Da Bears.

Why?

Remember my logic is always logical but never really is logic.

This years super bowl outcome is fortold by mojo and the planetary alignment. Believe it or not it all comes down to this year is the year of the Gator.

The Florida Gators basketball team started it and Rex will be the finishing touch.  That's right folks, it all based around the Florida Gators.

Here is the deal,

Florida Gators BB Champion
Florida Gators Football Champion

Rex Grossman played at Florida.  Manning played at Tennessee.

For those who don't know it yet, Manning never beat Florida.

So Chicago wins the Super Bowl and finally puts an end to the Florida mojo.  Next up, the year of the Dawgs.

Take Chicago straight up and win. ;-)

Every year around this time my blood starts to pump anticipating the upcoming seasons of racing.  From the local track to the big time of NASCAR I eagerly wait for the season(s) to start.

I know the bowl games are on and I watch a few of them and the NFL is approaching the playoffs.  But unlike racing once my favorites are done playing I lose interest very fast.

Come to think about it that is what I like best about racing, my favorite is racing every race regardless of how the season has gone for them up to that point. I have a reason to watch and spend my entertainment dollar.

Here is to all that wait for the most famous words in motorsports "Gentlemen, START your enginessssss"

If you have not heard check this out.

http://www.directtv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPage.jsp?assetId=P3980112&CMP=ILC-Q406-RHR-HotPass

I can not tell you how much I am looking forward to this. 3 camera angles, possibility of your favorite driver, real time stats, in car audio, and the best thing yet, no commercials. All for $80 and you get the full year.  Not bad considering the NFL Package is close to $250.00+ for 18 weeks.

Now granted the only down side to this is that it is a possiblity that your driver will not be shown for a particular weekend. But if you are a fan of Jr., Gordon, Stewart, Johnson you will get to see them the majority of the time.  Could you imagine how many complaints DirectTV would recieve with Jr and Gordon not being shown in the same weekend?  Not going to happen.

Granted this year is going to be a live beta so to say with a few hiccups.  But in the future I would like them to up the channels to about 10 and have 5 or 6 standard drivers and the rest random.

Later.

One thing Nascar has fallen behind is having a hot young female star.  Granted there have been a few women here and there to start and actually compete in Nascar's top level but the fact remain none have had the star power as Danica.

What about Erin Crocker and the other female's that are racing the circuit?  Yes they are female, yes they are racing at a higher level.  The fact remains is they might be good looking but they are not HOT.  Danica can run up front with the big boys.  She is HOT, with a capital H.  She has the smile and charisma that has given her to a household name.

So who is Nascar's answer to Danica.  Michelle Theriault.  (http://www.michelletheriault.com/index.html) .

Granted she is racing the lower levels of Nascar.  She is learning. The difference she is 20.  By the time she hits 25 she will be in Nextel and with a team that will make her successfull.

Michelle, the Nascar Nation is waiting.

Over the years I have done a little racing on the local tracks for fun and excitement.  Maybe one day I will get back in it and the outlook is somewhat doable.

Here is the story...

A friend of mine told me he's interested in getting a second truck for the upcoming season at New Smyrna Speedway.  He wants a 2 or 3 truck team. But to do that he would need sponsorship.

What do I have to do with this?  I am going to try to help him get the sponsors for a 3 team operation with hopes that I might be able to drive one of the trucks with MyPitBox.com posted on the back.

He has a good start always runs in the top 5 and missed the championship by 20 points a few years back.

What do I need from you?

Glad you asked Smile  If you know of any companies out there that might be interested in reaching the Florida market let me know.  We will actually be racing at about 10 different tracks throughout Florida.
