Mark Martin has a shot to break 13 records at tracks remaining on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Schedule by becoming the oldest race winner at the respective tracks.
Martin could also join Harry Gant, Morgan Shepherd and Bobby Allison as drivers to win over the age of 50. Martin would rank third overall in age with a win this season.
This weekend’s race in Phoenix is one of those tracks where Martin could beat the record. Phoenix is Martin’s best oval on the schedule based on his average finish of 9.4. The oldest race winner record at PIR is Rusty Wallace at 42 years, 2 months, 11 days.
