UPS to Deliver Number

UPS will unveil its number and paint scheme for the 2007 season on Friday.

Personally I hope it’s the No. 44. The number is currently being used by Terry Labonte, who will retire after the Texas race. Prior to Labonte, Christian Fittipaldi made three starts with the number with Petty Enterprises.

Plus it makes sense: 1. Half of 88, plus 2. It keeps with the consistency of double numbers: 55, 00, 44.

Check back Friday with RacingOne to see what number Dale Jarrett will drive in 2007.

Sorry, I don't have a photo of a 1957 Toyota, but here is an item from a recent Toyota press release:
September 19, 2006 – Torrance, CA - The Land Cruiser, the vehicle that has conquered uncivilized terrain in 150 countries, remains the only vehicle that has been a fixture in Toyota's U.S. model lineup since Toyota began U.S. operations in October, 1957.

I liked the No. 50 car driven by Michael Waltrip at the Homestead test. Even though it was black and white, it really stood out. Someone will probably use that paint scheme and number this year -- I heard it's Toyota's 50th anniversary  in the U.S.

Saw the pictures of the car.  Very nice.  Got it off the UPS web site.  I am a Jarrett fan but not a Toyota fan so I am going have issues this coming year.

The 50 makes sense also. One number each from the other team cars.

Just saw the rendering of the 2007 #44 UPS Camry.  Amazing looking car.  Absolutely beautiful.

Whatever, regarding the number of the Jarrett Toyota, DJ has been around long enough to do what he wants but in this matter I could care less. What I would like to see is a picture of a 1957 Toyota on American soil.
