BEER DRINKING BUNCH

IT'S NOT ABOUT WHO DRINKS BEER AND WHO DON'T, IT'S ABOUT HOW STUPID YOU ACT WHEN YOU DO. DRINKING LEADS TO STUPIDITY!!!! RACING IS ABOUT COMPETING NOT ABOUT SOMEBODY WINNING ALL THE TIME. DIFFERENT DRIVERS ARE GOING TO WIN SO WHY DO PEOPLE ACT IGNORANT WHEN THERE DRIVER DOESN'T WIN?

GORDON SURPASSED EARNHART'S RECORD BECAUSE SENIOR PASSED, IF HE WAS STILL ALIVE THE STORY MAY BE DIFFERENT!!! BUT HE IS NOT SO GORDONS DAY OF GLORY WAS RUINED FOR HIM BECAUSE OF STUPID BEER CANS NOT TO MENTION SOMEBODY COULD HAVE GOT HURT, THE MAN IS FIXING TO HAVE A CHILD WHAT IF HE GOT HURT HOW WOULD THE BEER THROWERS FEEL?

I AM A DEDICATED JUNIOR  FAN AND I WOULD NEVER THINK OF DOING ANYTHING LIKE THROW A BEER FROM 100 FOOT ABOVE AT A CAR BECAUSE HE BROKE A RECORD. RECORDS ARE MADE TO BE BROKE.

YOU HAVE RUINED IT FOR ALL RACE FANS NOT JUST YOU.I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN ALABAMA AND I AM TRULY DISAPPOINTED THAT OUR TRACK IS KNOWN FOR REDNECK BEER CAN THROWERS AND BAD SPORTSMANSHIP, LET ME ADD THAT I AM A REDNECK BUT I KNOW HOW TO ACT. I DROVE MY TRUCK AROUND THE TRACK IN FEB. AND I WAS PROUD TO BE ON IT BUT I AM NOT PROUD FOR THE REP IT GETS

Onerottenpug were you at the race? Doubt it! Because if you were you would know that what you just said is total B.S. I suppose you were watching the tv which was most likely focused on Gordon's car. Now for me, I was sitting on the start finish line in the tower and I saw many other cars get hit, not just Gordon's. I saw a full can of beer hit Mcmurray's ford, and there were plenty of cans being thrown after Gordon drove by. So, unless you were there (which I doubt you were since you would of never said that false comment) don't tell people what you thought you saw.

Secondly, you weren't there to talk to all of the pissed off fans to hear why they were mad. I was there, and even some Gordon fans I talked to knew that NASCAR made it look like they gave Gordon the win! You really think most of us Jr fans care about Dale Sr's win record? Heck no! Gordon may have the wins but does he have 7 championships? And what about the other fans like for Mcmurray, Stewart, Johnson, etc? All of them were there hoping their driver could go for the lead but that didn't happen. Instead, Nascar waited for David Reutiman to travel from the exit of turn 4 all the way to turns 1 and 2 before throwing the yellow. And of course it just so happens that the restart saw a quick caution giving Jeff Gordon a win that nobody had a chance to take from him.

Nascar needs to change the rules so that at least the drivers are fighting back for the win to the line. If the race finishes under yellow that's fine as long as fans aren't stuck with the possibility of saying that if they races back to the line perhaps their driver could of won. Giving ANY driver a win like that is rediculous and it's not real racing. NASCAR survived for how many years while letting drivers race back to the line?

I do not support what those fans did on Sunday, but unless you were there like I was, don't say that it was an all out Gordon hate fest because it is FAR from it.

Good for you.  What you are saying is dead on.  Those who say the cans were thrown because of something the officials did is silly.  If that was the case why were they sent in the direction of Gordon instead of just anywhere on the track?

Jr.Freak you make me laugh!  You just proved my point about you.

“you gotta do things for NASCAR to change the rules.”  Like throwing beer cans????  Good call Jr. Freak!!

Ha ha ha.....

this is only the second blog i've read and for a second time freak accusses Nascar of tainting the sport by dictating the winner...those fans throw cans to show their displeasure with gordon and nothing else....and Gordon feeds off of it...he loves it...and i do too...i say keep throwing the cans...i love seeing Gordon do a burnout in all off the redneck trash!

Uhh, degadogg because people threw beer cans at Talladega and Pocono in 2004 Nascar changed the rules so that now we have a green white checkeredd finish. But I guess you were too old school to know that. Like it or not fans showing their displeasure can get things done.

Secondly, that is not the type of action I am talking about. If you don't have people like me talking about these kind of issues then you're not going to get things changed. If it weren't for people like me the entire NASCAR community is just going to be like "ohhh those stupid Jr fans, look at them, they just hate that thar Geoffory Gordon cuz he dun passed Dale Saniors ween record, stupid rednecks. They should git outta dis sport and just take it like a man when Nascar gives Jeff the win".

Degadogg, you are as arrogant as the ones throwing beer on Sunday. For someone that's been watching NASCAR since the 1980's you seem pretty immature.

Jr.Freak, I do have to say at least you're entertaining.  Ha ha....

"Like it or not fans showing their displeasure can get things done".  Yeah Jr.Freak, I bet NASCAR does away with the GWC now because people were “showing their displeasure” at Talladega.  Give me a break!!  I guess I was giving to much credit.  I thought you were a little brighter then that.

And you call me arrogant?  Listen to yourself…. “If it weren't for people like me” & “If you don't have people like me talking about these kind of issues then you're not going to get things changed”.  Noooo, that doesn’t sounds arrogant at all.  Man you make me laugh!  Jr.Freak, the savior of NASCAR!

From now on, every time I see a beer can thrown on the track I’m going to think about you and all the good changes you're making at that very moment!

I’ll say it again,... good job Jr.Freak!

Yeah that's right, just ignore me and go on and believe that everyone was throwing cans because they hate Jeff Gordon. Never mind the fact that NASCAR ruined the end of a great race by not having the rules in place to have someone race back to the line. And how could you say that it wouldn't matter if NASCAR called the race half way and gave Gordon the championship? Are you not one of those people like myself that pays hundreds of dollars to go to the race track? Don't you think that after paying what fans have to pay that we should at least be supplied with a winner that hard to beat everyone to the start finish line?

You may not hate their rules enough to walk away from the sport, but why do you think ticket sales and ratings have been going down for two years straight? Instead of just saying "Oh i'll put up with NASCAR's crappy rules" you gotta do things for NASCAR to change the rules. I might be complaining alot about how that race finished but at least i'm trying to instigate a rules change that would tremendously benefit the sport, the competition, and the fans. You care so much about the sport you call me a bad fan and that those throwing cans on Sunday are just like me. I'm sure we should listen to someone that calls someone they've never met a bad fan, since it sounds like you "know" me.

If Jr won in the fashion that Gordon did on Sunday and had cans thrown at him, i'd completely understand why. Not that it's the right thing to do but when this keeps happening at Talladega you gotta wonder why things haven't changed.

And one more thing Mr. degadogg, i've been an Earnhardt fan since the late 1980's. I am not some new Jr fan that is only interested in drinking beer and having things go my way. I have been with the sport since kindegarden and I know what this sport needs and doesn't need. Fans like you, the ones that say what fans this sport does and doesn't need, are more similar to the can throwers than I am. Why? Because you are only thinking of your needs.

Onerottenpug, don’t pay attention to the Jr.Freak.  His name says it all!  Although he says he doesn’t condone the throwing beer cans, his type of mindset is why people do it.  The “blame NASCAR” mentality.  It doesn’t matter if NASCAR called the race at half way and gave the Championship to Gordon.  That doesn’t give people the right to throw trash on the track.  If you don’t like the way NASCAR runs the rules, then don’t be a part of NASCAR.  Period!!  I HATE some of NASCAR’s idiot rules.  But not enough to walk away.  And I sure don’t think that just because I don’t get ending I wanted, that I have the right to throw beer.  Slapoutgalracer, if Dale Jr. had more fans like you and less fans like Jr.Freak, this sport would be a lot better (and safer)!

I said you were arrogant because you don't listen to a thing I say, and you still aren't. It's like talking to a wall, only the wall isn't annoying.
