Hey, Found this site from a work-related site while catching up on social media tips.

Gotta figure out the "More About Me" section and upload some info there.

To start with here, let's say it's a family thing. My hubby is a repair shop owner, our son is a recent NTI graduate(NASCAR Tech Inst.) and our dearest friends are also fans......they've even got a 5th wheel trailer!!....and many of our other friends are also mechanics or learning to be fans when they're around us.

We make it fun to watch a race and have RaceDay bbq's or pool parties at someone's home. Sometimes we're in the Poconos and make sure we can watch or tune into Sirius and open the truck up so we can hear.

For additional fun amongst the get-togethers we've started guessing on the winner by...ya know "chipping in for the party". Its fun to try to pick your favorite driver before someone else, sometimes it gets a lil' touchy.......like how I've gotten "re-assigned" this year to Kasey Kahne instead of my fave #24 since one friend is super-testy about nailing his ride every race in full team spirit & gear.

Its all good natured and my husband keeps going for Kyle B. just to spite us Hendrick fans!! He won a few times on that one so he's not complaining. Our daughter roots for Dale Jr.'s car and our son favors Mark Martin. The youngest has been swayed by our friend's daughter to go for Jimmie Johnson. Hope Mark takes the #5 next year!!! That'd be cool.

I've been to a few races just Pocono and Dover but home is best. I love hearin' DW and Kenny Wallace and the other announcers....plus its less wear and tear on the younger ones. No drinkin' and drivin' either!

Okay more another time.................ttyl!

PS...that JJ fan is actually at Victory Junction for the next two weeks as a counselor there!!! So yeah, its definitely a family thing for us. :)

Hey Lisa. You and your group sound like a great bunch of people to be around. I too prefer to invite as big a group of family and friends over to be with on race day. And most of us prefer the Hendrick's drivers too. A couple of times I've put a large pork shoulder on the barbeque at midnight before the race and let it slow cook for around 12 hours so we can stuff ourselves on pulled pork sandwiches during the race. What great, clean fun NASCAR is for us all. God bless.
