F1 Agreement Reached
F1 Teams Make Peace

As I wrote last week, the only way there was going to be any sort of compromise between the FIA and the Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) was if it included Max Mosley stepping down as president of the FIA. Well, that’s exactly what transpired. Mosley has agreed to resign as president, effective in October and what do you know, the FIA and FOTA reached a settlement preventing a splintering of Formula One. Now only if I could use my knowledge to predict what’s going to happen involving anything motorsports related for something useful say picking Saturday’s lotto numbers, I would be very a happy man.

I went back and read your article. You were almost half right. You said the matter would not be resolved until both Max and Bernie had left. Bernie is still alive and kicking, and Max has said make nice or he's not leaving.
Every day that goes by only strengthens Max and Bernie's positions. It will not be an easy task of creating a series and schedule in the few months remaining before April.
Please don't throw that phony FOTA schedule around that emerged last week. Bernie is a lot of things, but he is an intelligent promoter and a businessman. I'm sure he has the tracks pretty wrapped up in contracts and agreements against competitor series.
Please don't forget, the FIA is much more than F1. Max may still have a lot of support.

I'll be surprised if Max leaves.
