Can someone explain to me how ...

a guy who has missed 9 Busch races is still 4th in points and only 20 points out of 3rd, with a smaller margin than 1st and 2nd in points last year. Are the Busch teams that pathetic they can't take advantage when a cup guy doesn't run the full schedule....... geez what if Harvick ran those 9 races... hopefully this garbage will stop in the NATIONWIDE SERIES. It was nice of the other cup guys to not run full-time this year. Congrats to the 60 team anyway, they did what they had to early on, can't control what other teams do or don't do. In the chase for the cup we have too close a race between 1st and 2nd (of course they had to manufacture it with the chase) and the truck series at least has its own top two in one of the tightest battles ever, that's a points race. BGN was a joke this year for sure, hoping for changes soon.

The regular Busch teams kind of are that pathetic.
How many times were 8 or more of the top 15 random guys from Cup? That doesn't leave a lot of points for the regular Busch drivers. Of the 23 races he had 6 wins(1st), 10 top fives(2nd to Edwards14) and 19(1st) top tens. Harvick had only 2 races were outside the top 15 (16th & 24th). Don't forget he was switching between his car and Childress' car too.
Edwards had 9 finishes of 20th or worse and still has 552 point lead.
Remember how Harvick destroyed the championship last year? Had he raced 4 more races, he would have been in the contention for the title and still skipped 5 races.

I like the idea of not giving the Cup drivers any points in the Nationwide Series. I'd also like to see the Cup drivers take home 1/2 their posted winnings (with the other 1/2 distributed to the other "non-cup" drivers)
Kyle Petty hit the nail on the head the other night. Cup drivers don't drive in the Busch series for the points, or the championships....they drive for the money. He doesn't go to a double A baseball game to see A-Rod play.
