Who all knew that McLaren/Mercedes would dominate
6/18/2007 1:35 PM
I'm not a big fan of F1, but watch regularly. Who in the devil knew about how good this team would be and how Renault would fall. Alonso? Varsha and his buddies? Everybody in the paddock? This is unbelievable.

Most thought Ferrari would have something for them, but it`s not turning out that way. McLaren is in a very envious situation with the car program finally working, and having 2 solid drivers.
I would guess this year we will have a rookie champ, and McLaren taking the constructors trophy.
As far as the racing goes, I would also guess it`s going to be quite predictable....being mostly a match race between Alonso and Hamilton like at Indy. I`m hoping for rain at every race at this point to give it some cowbell.

with McLaren having both lewis and alonso, they have two very technical drivers who have both helped to further develop and improve the mp4-22 car. Ferrari's drivers are not known for being into the car set up and testing, Massa more so then Kimi, but massa is not always level headed and such.
What do you guys think are the chances of Schumi stepping in for some tests to help develop the f2007 so that it can compete with the mclarens? I would not be suprised if he helped with the car development.

Ferrari has omething to say about them dominating. Besides it was only on Monte Carlo and low down force tracks. Ferrari dominated today

McLaren is the Ferrari B team. And McLaren have lost their advantage on high downforce tracks with Raikkonen being quicker than the McLaren of Hamilton in Budapest. We are going back to normal circuit which Ferrari will run well at once again

Starting the year with how many hundreds of pages of Ferrari's documents couldent have hurt. Either way I would hardly say they are dominating. At some tracks yes, but the red devils dominate at some also.
*Edit I noticed the date of this thread is a few months old. I guess it did look more like they were dominating back in June.

Not enough F1 fans here. I will say that, Ferrari will not beat McLaren at Monza and Spa based off testing speeds ware they are doing a 1 stopper which I doubt. Ferrari are planing a Major and I mean Major aero upgrades for the Japanese GP, New front and rear wings. If Ferrari can Finish directly behind or ahead of Macca in Spa and Monza then Macca need to look out
