refrain from labeling those who disagree with you as wackos.

As a rule of thumb the following descriptions of those who disagree with anyone politically will not be tolerated.

wacko's, whackjob, nutjobs, nutcases or any derivatives resembling those four words. I enjoy reading the give and take in the political forums, and a bit of bashing is par for the course, but there is no reason to get nasty.

play nice. For the most part the political forums have been interesting as of late and mostly civil. Please keep it that way.

consider this a starting point. I know there have been other posts by members from both sides of the political spectrum that have used some of the words above. I'm not going back and editing all of them so please don't send me PM's requesting that this member or that member be banned on a post prior to today. Thanks.

I still remember a thread from a few years back over at my chemtrail forum where some loyal democrat was whining about the huffington forum being a site for chemtrail apologists. That being said…

Can we still call them Liberals?

Can they still call us Christians and Neo-cons?

How about if we call them Chavezites?

Never being one to pull out the old name calling card you know this is gonna handicap some posters abaility to  reinforce their agruments.

Wish you luck on that...I suppose a poster or three will have to retire from the political boards.Sad [:(]

Intent is the primary criteria. Words that I listed are one step below the terms of Nazi, racist, bigot, various vulgar racial and sexual desciptors, etc.

Folks, let's face it, you all are adults and you all have been posting here together for a long time. You know which buttons to push. I'm just letting you know that fun is fine, but let's not deliberately push some buttons. I've witnessed some pretty rough stuff from both sides of the political argument here.

Bill, use your judgement. ritepath, there is nothing wrong with those terms.

It's the nasty stuff folks. I think y'all know what that is.

Thank you all for helping to make my job interesting. Smile [:)]

Well back to the topic at hand.........

That was pretty dam funny HB. I don't agree with that far leftist WJ Huffington but she DOES get some pretty funny stuff up at her site..........

(Hey modguy, can we call Huffington a whackjob? How about Michael Moore? Is it OK to call Pat Robertson a whack job too while we are at it? I mean is this limitation of the proper descriptive terms apply to just "fellow posters" or does it cover the whole spectrum of the whacked out human race?

Hey if we cant call pat and michael wackjobs it'd be no fun.  I think it's just the fellow posters rule, nothing wrong with being civilized with one another.

Bubba, it's the use of those terms against fellow forum members.
