47 mph with the gasoline engine idling!  Who would buy one of those tiny toy-looking, ugly acid-looking prius ricers when you can now buy a full-size car that gets this kind of mileage, for $27,000.    I see one of those dinky things around town and think, "there goes Al Gore". 

PS   The Detroit automakers ought to file bankruptcy and dump those UAW contracts.  Would hurt for a year or so, but then it'd be back to an even field.  Problem is that the White House would get it's congress to pass a law that would require those old contracts to be honored even after bankruptcy.
