Is it just me?

I mean, is it because I've been watching for so long I remember when Talladega races would turn into six-or ten-car single-line packs? Or maybe the fact that I remember when they didn't have to bump draft but a dozen times in a whole race? Or maybe I'm looking at the sixty lead changes among 26 drivers and not getting the math right. Of course, maybe everyone's disappointed like me in the race ending under yellow. Either way, I'm not finding this as the worst, most boring race in NASCAR history.

Or maybe The ESPN, The Worldwide Leader in Sports, needs to shut up, quit trying to create stories, and just cover the event. The only action I missed (and I hate being this guy) was in the commercial breaks every five minutes.

We were treated to a very lousy race today.  Partly because Mr. Mike came out swinging, and nobody wanted to get hit.  Hence the long day of 2-wide, 3 wide, and at times 4-wide racing with no real action.  Shoot, your favorite driver could have been 6 cars behind the leader and in 25th position!  Whatever it was, it made difficult watching because the entire bee-hive was swarming and it was not easy to see how strategies would be played.  My  sniveling time is up.

I screwed up and missed recording all but the last 25 laps of the race, guess I was the lucky one.  Lots of people bitchin' about this race.

BUT, good job to McMurry.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but I don't think anyone would have thought so had Our Imperious Worldwide Leader in Sports not tried to make the story worse than what it was. I flipped over to NASCAR Now last night, and they said NASCAR never said what the penalties would be, so everyone was afraid of being parked. Actually, NASCAR said it'd be a pass-through penalty, so why Our Imperious Worldwide Leader in Sports thinks it's okay to omit that is beyond me.

Trust me, it got exciting, right before
Our Imperious Worldwide Leader in Sports decided to go to break, so that's why you missed much of the action. There were still 60 lead changes.

Seems as tho the race was 43 guys who know how to race had the task of driving around the track with very little chance of making a move that would advance their position.  It was a matter of what the cars in front and behind did that dictated going forward or backward.

I will give Nastycar credit for once here.  If some drivers didn't bi*** and moan after practice Friday about erratic bump drafting Helton wouldn't have had to make that decision.  It was a crappy race and unfortunately us FANS, the ones that make this sport have to suffer.
