Another great run for Robby Gordon.
8/20/2006 10:18 PM
Once again, Robby Gordon and the 7 car had a terrific run on a downforce track, wrecking early, but recovering for a 12th place finish. This team has been running strongly under the radar this year, even if the matching results haven't always been there. It just goes to show what happens when you have a driver of Robby's talent level and an owner of Robby's experience level in various forms of motorsport and business savvy. When this team starts getting some breaks, they are going to be a consistent top-10 team on the intermediates.

Great job, Robby!

Agreed.......it was a excellent run as have been several this year . I dont know if its his background as a off-road racer but even it did hamper him in the relativily fragile open wheel cars it sure suits him in tin-tops .

I must admit Robby Gordon the owner has done a decent job. If only Robby the owner could fix the sand in the head of his driver to get him to stop wrecking, he could really turn some heads.

Tony Stewart once said Robby Gordon is the most naturally gifted racer he has ever seen, but that its the space between his ears that gets him in trouble.

That's pretty funny considering I have described Tony Stewart in exactly the same way.

He's a driver that's for sure. It's hard not to like him....It just seems like everytime it looks like a top 10 is on it's way he has a problem. I just hope when he buys DEI and RYR it doesn't get in the way of his driving.

Yea i like his no bs attitude in interviews.... he was about to rip Kenny Wallace a new one on race day last week.  It was funny cause Kenny was doing like he always does and trying kiss A$$ and talk bad about him at the same time and Gordon wasn't having it.
