WoO World Finals Results - Night 1 - 11/6/09
11/7/2009 2:32 AM
Congrats to Jason Meyers and the #14 DDN GLR Elite Racing Team on his win tonight at Charlotte.
Donny Schatz kept the point gain small with his 2nd place finish.
Kudos to Danny Lasoski on his 3rd place from a 9th place start.

Check out Fast Freddie Rahmer finishing 5th.  That's his highest WoO finish in quite awhile (I believe)

This race was remarkable for the number of red and yellows in the A Main.   MyLaps still hasn't posted the A-main results and lap chart - probably because someone is highly embarassed...JK.   The final clincher was when Dollansky took his teammate TMac into the wall, head on.  No one was injured in all the carnage (apparently).

That definitely was a wreck-fest!! Hopefully tonight we can have one of those green-white-checkered races where there's lots of back-and-forth down-and-dirty battles throughout the field.

Whoever wins the race and the points, I'm just praying for a safe night for all drivers. Battles are one thing, as is drama, but in the end we all need to hope that everyone comes out safely.

There was a thread over at HH's about the track....starting with a "mod race" on Wednesday night?
Said the track was miserable....some guys sent "runners" to Lowes/Home Depot to get "chicken wire" to put across the front window(less) of their car.  There was a report of a broken jaw, teeth lost, etc.  Some cars pulled in and chose not to run.
Sift through it and find out what all is truth.
If even CLOSE to true, too bad they end the season on a track run by francecar!
