NSSN had a full page advertisement (late June issue) from "Colin Carter Masterpieces", with 12 of the most famous Indy car drivers in history.  The page had a 2" x 2" picture of artwork for sale, done by ?? of each driver sitting in a famous Indy 500 car (4 cars were roadsters), included were Al Unser, Mario, A.J., Ruby, Gurney, Mears, Parnelli, Sneva, Bobby Unser, Johnny Rutherford, and oh yeah, one other one, Danica Patrick.  PS  Sure, they are selling popularity, but can you imagine those other drivers or their family members seeing this page, with this girl's picture among them.

Eleven of the twelve names in the advertisements are actual Indy car drivers, one of them is an imposter.

Imposter is a bit much. Granted the hype is sickening, but she's not a bad driver.
Just no where the caliber of the other 11. Although, of those running now, she and Helio are the only famous names. When I say famous, I mean recognizable by non race fans. By-the-way, what famous car was she sitting in?

She was sitting in a sort of light "purple" car, couldn't make out any decals on it, it was actually the worst painting of the bunch.  Her name under that picture just looked so odd that it was out of place among the great ones.  I see I failed to mention Jim Rathmann as being part of this page.

Most ironic or disturbing, take your pick, is the tact that the Danica painting will probably sell almost as many as the others combined.  Today's world.
