We all know that Joey and that Mopar #9 sprinter of KKR is on a roll this year...can he beat Donnie for the points lead?

He's had some very bad luck which caused terrible finishes this year, but the luck bank is the luck bank.   Without a few of those, he'd be leading, but you know about 'ifs' and 'buts', if ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a merry Christmas.  Spose Donny has had some bad luck too, but if you were listening to the Grand Forks WoO race on DV, Donny drew a big one from the luck bank.  Leading the race, he tries to pass a backmarker in turn one (turn one is where they go straight off into the pits), turns out the backmarker was leaving the track and heading into the pits, so Donny slammed on the brakes, slid her sideways, the two cars tangled slightly, #15 disappeared down the bank,  but unbelievably kept it running, and came back up on the track in about 10th place or so.  Because he didn't cause the caution, he kept the lead, which caused some temporary booing from the stands (in North Dakota of all places) until the announcer explained what happened.  Seeing that was worth the 150 mile trip. 

Now that's racin' to me...

Last night at Eagle Donny had the bad luck. They changed power plants after their heat, but the replacement one started spewing large amounts of smoke on lap 10 and he shut it down on the front stretch the next time around.

Every racer....EVERY RACER has good and bad luck over the course of the year. Sometimes it ends up being pretty much the whole year (last year with Steve Kinser for example).

105 points separate first from fourth right now. There's another 38 races scheduled yet this year, and only God knows who the bad luck bugaboo will bite next. Let's just hope that the bite doesn't lead to injury for anyone.

but everytime Joey gets close enough to take it Donny gets a win or 2 and Joey struggles. it's about time the 14 and 11 and maybe even the 7s to get into this fight.
