Now I was happy for TJ's win and in the post race interview he said he was back in the points race so I had to go look as to where he is at.  Currently 6th but if he can go 3 rounds more than T. Pedregon, Medlen and Hight, he's in 3rd place and about 5  more rounds behind Force and 8 more rounds behind Capps if my math is right and don't stake you lives on it! 

  With a number of races left to go I can see him overtaking TP, Med and Hight and even Force but 11 rounds of racing between him and Capps is a tall order.  We're talking almost 3 complete races but nothing is impossible yet.  I'm pulling for Capps this year but it would be neat to see TJ and Mel take the nitro classes together. 

And speaking of Capps, the run with Gilbertson yesterday was of an interesting note.  I know some charges that Gilbertson took to long on purpose were laid but I sure hope that wasn't the case.  Staging duel and burndowns are one thing but to set a racer up to run out of fuel on a run is just downright wrong.  Play the mental games all day but in the end, race the cars heads up and through the lights and let the best team win!
