Anyone on here play NR2003?

It would be nice to get an online race going sometime.

I would like to get a "pick-up" race going on Friday night that is open to anyone who wants to race... 7pm eastern time. Using Sierria's server on the Daytona track that came with the game at 50% in length (100 laps). Look for the name Daytona 250 - or something like that. Everyone is welcome

Do you want an open setup or fixed steup? (click on the link to vote)(I have a good setup)

I will try to get on, but 19:00 is 01:00 here in Cheeseland. The other problem I have is that I cannot access the R1 site from home, so if you want, PM me and I'll send you an e-mail address.

Not to revive an old thread...but at R1 we had a NR2003 league that ran for a couple "seasons" with Cup, CTS, Iroc mods. Most races we probably got lucky if like 12-14 ppl showed but it was fun. There was quite a range of talent too, some very good races, some complete beginners...it led to some issues. I wouldn't mind dusting off the NR2003 CD and get back into it if there is a server to race on somewhere for free.

This SIM forum used to be extremely active, but everyone is gone now after the league fell apart a couple of years ago. Obviously nobody has posted here in months. Me and HarvickNBowyer21 are the only ones who even come to R1 anymore as far as I know...so it would be hard to recruit ppl here these days. But if anyone reads this and is involved in a good fun league, holla at me.

What mod are u running on? When I last played, we had just started the 2005 Mod or something. I have to make sure I've got everything I need...I did try to register on that forum ^^^^^ but it gave me some error when I signed up so I still cannot access the forum. I did pop in the game and *** around a bit, it will take some time to get back my skillz tho, lol.

I guess I'm talking to myself here....but I got all setup with the SS.net COT mod and it's pretty tight so far. I haven't raced online yet but I've painted some COT rides and dusted off my wheel and pedals. Good times, I'll be hitting up the servers soon!

Hey guys, Tex and HnB and others.   I was looking for some racetrack photos and remembered how R1 had some nice ones and while I  was looking I decided to stop in the forums and read up on any goings on in the sim forum.  I race at 30plus racing, www.30plusracing.com, after a brief stop in an OLR league.  I'll never race anywhere else unless something drastic happens there.  It is a free league but they accept donations, I have given only once, $20, in almost two years.  They just started running leagues for the Arca sim, which I don't have, and still run NR2003 two nights a week.  NR2003 leagues are the COT mod with open setups and trucks with fixed.  The numbers are down a little with a lot of people running Arca but the trucks get about 20 guys and the COT is running only about 10. This also could be because its summer, but we could use a few Nr2003 racers.  The Arca leagues seem to get about 25 a night.  Before they started to run Arca they ran 4 nights of NR2003 - COT, Busch, Trucks, and Iroc.  I have been in races with 25-30 cars or trucks.  One truck race had 40 people.

Good server, good website, good forums for race discussion and technical help, and good drivers with a mature mindset.  They have a team where you have to be "30 plus" but everyone is welcome to race.  The fact that most of the guys are over 30 makes it a great league.  Every race has a "moderator" who doesn't race to keep order of things.  No green chat.  They also keep all the races archived for research.  I was recently bored at work and came up with my career stats there.  Pretty bad - 59 races, 1 pole, no wins, 6 top fives, 14 top tens.  Yikes!

Check it out.  And Go Bucks!

Hey Chaindog, nice to see ya around here again!

I checked out 30+, looks like a great and well organized league. Maybe I will have to stop by once I get my skills back, lol (or at least enough to not cause mass chaos out there and get kicked out). Considering your win/loss record, I really don't think I'll contend for any wins but it's still fun to race.

GO BUCKS!!!

Thats one good thing about it, Tex, there is racing everywhere from the lead to the race for 12th.  The people in the back don't drive over their heads trying to compete with the leaders resulting in better racing all around the track.  And don't use me as a gauge.  I wouldn't consider myself a good driver anymore,  getting married and having a baby who is now 10 months will do that to you.  Maybe I never was any good.  I could never beat 21Fan, DaleJr Fan, Bham, and even coolhands after he caught on.

Any questions, let me know.  chaindog3@yahoo.com

For those that still play, go to www.nrtlobby.com/ and grab the lobby software.
It's sort of like Sierra . You can see races, players, chat and join right from it.
It's FREE
