Wasn't it openwheeler that constantly said that Marlboro does NOT give away free tickets? This proves openwheeler doesn't know sh!t, of course that was proven a long time ago.

Where can I get free tickets?  If Malboro wants to give them out as promotion thats up to them.  Just like  sponsors have guest suites and inviting business people.  Grow up. 

Nice crowd and great race.  The IRL is flying high.

So with your logic, I do not want to hear opentroller or your kind say anything bad about one of Champ Car's sponsors giving away tickets. And don't deny it, you and opentroller have said bad things before about sponsors of Champ Car doing that. Hello Kettle, meet pot.

i have gotton free tickets and pit passes from marlboro for last 2 years for the aug kentucky IRL race.... lots of cool gear and have many autographs!  

how to get?  you have to be signed up on their mailing list!  you must provide a copy of your photo ID and be over 21Smile [:)]

Go to a NASCAR race, sign up with Marlboro, you'll get IRL free ticket offers when there's a race near you. Red hats are given out at the track, along with the tickets.

Lets not forget that they sponsor a team and with the restrictions on tobacco advertising, it's a good marketing tactic.

However, they do give away thousands of these tickets, and do huge mailings, so if anyone tries to deny it exists, they are just ignoring the truth. It's not the same as some other corporate sponsors, who in both leagues, may give away hundreds of tickets. Marlboro may give away more at one race, than all the others in either league do, for a whole season.

Marketing their racing teams and products.

not sure why you quoted me as i agreed with you but anyway.. the kentucky IRL race had an entire grandstand of free ticket holders!  and i got my red hats also!

also think its a way to say thanks to the smokers for all the crap we listen to day in and day out .. about how we are solely responsible for killing everyone in the world!

i admit smoking is bad for me and, unlike in a commercial i have seen i dont get in my car roll up all the windows and light up with my kids in there..

i only sound angry because i am tired of drugs,alcohol,and obesity being ignored but smokers taxed and banned from just about every where... while a 400 pound person with no medical excuse can stuff their face at any local buffet only to tell me i am the one killing them!... yeah right must be my fault!

sorry guys.... just got me thinking!
