Is he deaf or what? His spotter clearly told him to stay low. Somebody could have been seriously hurt or killed!

He blamed Carl Edwards.  Blaming Edwards isn't a bad strategy but it's not going to work this time.

It seems he was not paying attention at the drivers meeting about when you are supposed to get on the track after a pitstop!!!

How about banned from running any NASCAR event?

It was funny to see his interview where he said he "got" rear ended and that "those guys" should pay more attention or get new spotters.

What s stupid moron..

I've seen some stupid things in racing but that *** takes the cake.  He's coming out of the pits, he's spotter is telling him to stay low and he pulls out in front of 40 cars who are going 185+ mph.

How stupid can one person be?

As bad as the accident was, Nascar will be more upset about Carl Edwards speaking the truth about restrictor plate racing.  Nascar will have to remind Carl with one of those stern warnings like they gave Smoke last year (and smoke did a 180).  Carl's quote once he was released from the care center:   "these restrictor plate races are a spectacle for them (pointing to the fans) but someone's going to get killed".  Nascar thought they had everyone on the same page, i.e., don't say anything about the danger of 43 cars running in a pack at 185mph for hours and don't say anything about the fact that plate racing isn't real racing, (just keep your foot on the floor and steer the thing--little talent).  I think Mark Martin was the last vocal opponent of plate racing.  Today, you get called to a meeting with Helton and told  "we got along fine before you were here and we could get along fine if you weren't here"

Are you kidding me?

Carl Edwards I think did great on his interview. He actually held his tongue some.

He could've said more and he would still be right.

He should have said more, but you have to bite your tongue or Mr. France will be all over you.  They don't like criticism and if someone does get killed during these boring  plate races, think of all the driver statements that are out there that would be used in a court of law to prosecute France and helton.
