Prelude to the Dream

I see that the race that got rained out this summer is now planned for next Wed. Sept. 9th at Eldora. I made it out to the event a couple years ago and thought it was great event. I like to watch which Cup drivers can drive a LM and which struggle. These guys are human afterall. Watched the last few years on TV via the HBO Pay-Per-View. They do a great job. Looks like a regular NASCAR broadcast.
The driver line up is at http://www.hbo.com/events/prelude/ and it looks like they have some new faces this year.
I'm eager to see how Marcos Ambrose and Joey Logano do. My prediction is for Smoke to win. He's been on a roll all year.

He had that new Rocket (think it was a Rocket) built for the Dream last year and it was pretty dominant. I'm mulling over buying the pay-for-view cuz it took about a month or more for it to be on Speed channel.

Results
A pretty respectable showing by Ronnie Capps in 13th up from 23rd and especially Cruz Pedregon in sixth from 15th.
I've seen Pedregon's name in the Chili Bowl entry list and I thin Ronnie Capp's also, but I don't know how often they get to play in the dirt.
Hopefully some YouTube clips will appear.
Tony better be careful or people wont want to play any more if he keeps winning these.

I looked at a few of the YouTube posts. Not bad, but Smoke really did run off and hide in the final ten laps.
The comments killed me though. People saying how the real WoO Late Modals would make these guys look bad. All I could think was that if someone wanted to see the WoO Late Modals well, they should go see them. This was not about the best/fastest late modals. To me this was about seeing Cup stars in a different setting and having some fun. For as infrequently as most of these guys play in the dirt, they still looked pretty smooth and fast.

that is a correctamundo, did you see it today LT? some prety good racing. Kahne always did run the high side in his sprint car also, smoke was smokin and won for the third year in a row. when money is no object it buys you a lot of toys.
