Congrats to Ben, Valentino and Yamaha

Yamaha was crowned double world champions this weekend.
Congratualtions to Ben Spies for winning the
World Superbike title in his rookie year. He had an incredible run of 11 poles in 14 races. Most of these tracks he was visiting for the first time. He won the first race and rode a smart second race on Sunday.
Val Rossi wrapped up his
seventh Moto GP title to go along with his 125 and 250 titles. It was a tough race with the start delayed by rain. Rossi had an abismal start and found himself falling to 10th position from the pole on the first lap. He battled back for a third place finish. With that win his lead in the points cannot be lost in the final race.
The man is in his own world. When looking at the stats, Giacomo Agostini was often racing two or three classes on a weekend. That's not allowed today.
Ben Spies will join Collin Edwards giving the Monser Yamaha team an all Texan line up. Monster is the private Yamaha team and Moto GP rules state that rookies cannot race for factory teams if a satelite theam is available.
