I was going through some hats that I've collected over the years and ran across a autographed hat signed by Eddie and Ercie, just wondering what the Hills have been doing since he retired. Thanks.

I use to like watching Eddie Hill run with "Fuzzy" Carter (no longer with us) as crew chief. Eddie and wife Ercie were always nice to fans. While he has been retired from NHRA action for some time now, it's probable safe to say he is still quite active.

TV Tommy is in the 2nd row down; far right, also check out the "Winged Express".

Plus there's a dozen pages of old pics.

Some Hill pictures on this link. I saw him in the twin Pontiac car with the "gokart" steering. Rumor was that the engines were mated at the flywheel starter gears, but a little hard to imagine.

My buddys Dad used to be a head wrench on a car bac kin the 70s and he met Garlits, Hill, etc. He commented to me that Eddie Hill was quite a character. I think there might be a picture of the funny car somewhere online... am new here... anybody care to tell me how to upload a photo into a post?! -Tom

Eddie Hill had the greatest T-shirt of all time.  "Life begins in your 60's, the 4.60's".  Garlits could have did him one better, maybe he did, never saw a t-shirt though,  as he came back for Indy and ran a 4.70 something when he was 70 or 71.  Think he turned 75 recently.
