Graham spanked the regulars who are older, more experienced and in his first race. HMMM Go Champ Car. I hear alot of spankin noise going on.

Great job for his first run in an IRL car. Especially holding off two-time defending race winner Castronevis (by "holding off" I mean leaving him in the dust)

Let's see, Graham won on a street course. Not surprising since Champ Car was all about street courses. We will see how he does in his next few oval races, that's if he doesn't crash his car in practice and can't race.
Congrats Graham.

Let's see, only a small percentage of racing fans in the world watch oval racing and a smaller amount consider oval racing a skill towards being a great driver. Only North americans care about ovals so if they want a world wide audiance to build on they better cut back on ovals and add more road races. How many drivers have gone from the IRL to the premier world series? And there was a big difference between the experience the IRL guys had from previous racing at StPete versus the experience the Champ Car guys had on any ovals. We saw who made the most mistakes versus mistakes on the first oval race. Like Helio said it's going to be a fight and fun. So in my view except for the INDY 500 all the other ovals are just side shows(calendar fillers) and just somethin to do for fun when there is no real racin going on. I guarantee if you ask Helio or any of the non north americans which type of racing they'd prefer, ovals would be last and below kart racing.

Graham "Cooler than Bobby" Rahal certainly lived up to his nickname at St. Pete. Even better, after only one IRL race he already has more wins than the league's most popular driver, Danica "0 for a Lifetime" Patrick.
