Bump drafting?!?

I just read an article where Todd Bodine tried to explain his actions last night by sayng he was trying to bump draft Hornaday to the front.
First, who bump drafts at Lowes?!?
Second, if you would bump draft there, who would do it through the tri-oval?
I think he got pissed, spun Hornaday on purpose, and then tried to wiggle out of it after the fact.
What an ***!

Listened to his interview after the race and thought , This guy thinks we're all stupid. Of course I guess he couldn't just say, Darn right I did on purpose. Next time he cuts me short I'll do it again. But then he would sound like Bushy.

You know, in the real racing world of the 410,s and 360's bumping to pass is just part of racing. For the life of me I cannot see why if someone is in the way, move em? bumpin is racing and lets go racing boys. The NASCAR boys just need to quit being a bunch of women and get with racing. Plain and simple.

There's only one problem with your logic here......
When someone gets bumped, and then passed in the 410's and 360's, do they generally spin, hit the wall, and tear up their cars? Or do they just slide up the track a bit, recover, and then keep going?
I don't know what kind of speeds the sprint cars are able to hit, but I'm guessing it's not close to the 180 mph that Ron Hornaday was running when Bodine moved him out of the way. At the kind of speeds these trucks are running on the bigger tracks, and the fact their running right on the edge, contact really needs to be a minimum.

Simply not acceptable in the upper classes of asphalt racing. Dirt has more forgiveness.
I think it happened on purpose. I also think he regretted it as soon as it went down.

When Hornaday took someone else out he said it was hard racing.
When It happened to him it was attempted murder.
He's got a different set of rules for himself than for everyone else

Could be. It still doesn't make it right.
