Outlaw Fan 7,8,

You must realize a few things that are going on with the Dodge Motorsports Program in relation to NASCAR!

1) NASCAR does not want Dodge to win, Ratings would drop since NASCAR backs Hendrick, Gibbs, DEI or RCR and vice versa. NASCAR is about entertrainment not true racing. Chevrolet/GM has NASCAR in their back pocket and can pay them anything they want to get the desired results! This year for Dodge is srtictly R&D for the new engine they are putting on the track for 2008-2009.

2) Chrysler is up for sale! This affects the Motorsports programs by decreasing the amount of funds or support a team gets. In the case of Evernham Motorsports, since Daytona and the crew chief cheating incident, this team now has a black eye on it's face and needs to find a way to win on it's own. Right now althought it's not sayng much, but the Penske teams are showing by leaps and bounds that Dodge can race, Dodge just needs to pay NA$CAR more money to win a race!

3) Chevy has a new engine. Dodge had a new engine design but pilled it from the table this year, giving GM the complete edge for this season. GM has aready won the Manufacturer's title and it's only been 9 races! This is the reason why the NASCAR Manufacturer points system needs to change so at least the other Manufacturer's can have a shot at winning too.

4) If you really want to see Dodge compete, Check out the ARCA series! Dodge is the current Manufacturer's champion, and is looking toi repeat in 2007, Dodge has won 3 races to GM's 2 races. GM leads the points by a slim margin.  The racing action is real good and you do NOT have cautions for Debris every 10 laps to stage the field which IS what NASCAR does wheather they want to admit it or not! SCCA Speed GT World Challenge is another great series for Dodge as well.

5) Remember, Dodge is marketing in NASCAR, not truly trying to race! Dodge is in NASCAR to market the Avenger and Charger, but you can't do this effectively if your not winning races! This is something that has been going on since Mike Accevetti took over the Dodge Motorsports program last year. Mike is MAINLY a marketing wizard and has no racing experience! Now you know why Dodge is losing on the track?????! I have tried to reach Mike several times to show my complaints on his methods but to no avail. You need to live with it if you watch NASCAR.

Dodgeboy,

While all that may be true, it is still very frustrating to be a MOPAR fan and see them basically tanking everything (except maybe sprint cars).  I hope Chrysler is sold soon.  That will help.  I, also, hope that sometime, somewhere, we will be proud of what they are doing on the track again.

Ed,

Your feelings of frustration run as deep as mine and every Dodge Motorsports fan here. I also believe the sale of Chrysler will help in the long run. Magna International is the front runner so far but you need to cheer on Kirk to buy Chrysler instead of Magna. Kirk will bring Chrysler back in the long run and also make GM pay on the track!

Another note to update: Dodge, your 2006 ARCA Manufacturer Points Champion, is leading the ARCA series Manufacturer points AGAIN after Kansas!

ARCA Manufacturer's Championship

1) Dodge  36

2) Chevrolet 34

3)  Ford      22

4)  Pontiac   15

5)  Toyota  11

Way to go Dodge! All hope isn't lost yet!

well what ever it is it's killing my favorite drivers this year. kasey and bobby are crap. while bobby shows some strength once in awhile but not often. and besides i'm very sick of watching 4 hours of comercials. i haven't seen a nascar race for over a month now. nascar is a waste of my time. i only get every other weekend off and i'm not going to spend half of it watching the soapopera called nascar.
but i am happy to see "mopars" running so good on dirt. kevin swindell is leading usac. saldana is fighting for the world of outlaw points lead. nice to know us mopar fans aren't looking completely stupid this year.

Look at Kurt Busch as he now is the "leading" Dodge driver at this point. Don't just think about your drivers in your particular pool, You need to be able to be flexible,  until your drivers come around to be able to win races. I am in 5 pools myself and usually I'm having to pick Chevy driver's just to get points.  The pools I'm in though are the pick ten type, so you need to be able to pick winning drivers or drivers that finish in the top ten to do well.
