Tragedy in MS
4/29/2007 11:12 PM

A guy lost his life Saturday night in Greenvill, MS when the cage came in on him.

I've seen cages collapse alot in the last 5 years.  Tubing?  Not enough tubing?  I don't know, but it's getting more and more common.

This NEEDS to be sovled.

I agree!

but rising costs and lack of sponsorship has driven some teams to sub standard workmanship ... cheaper metals and low paid or untrained welders .. a weld can make a life or death difference.

maybe only solution here is a more complete inspection .... including an after repair inspection .. to make sure cars recently wrecked have their welds checked also.

I hate to hear this. Haven't been to that track in years. R.I.P.
