How about, since I'm constantly trying to turn the IRL into DP....lol
On the road course and street courses, run the development series in the same event. Two races at once, two winners.
The added traffic makes the racing more interesting.
The added exposure for the development series, teams, and drivers would be really good for the open wheelers in general. If the drivers from that series move up, viewers have a better shot at knowing who the heck they are.

There is already enough traffic, with Milka and the boys from the other series blocking up the track.

Yeah, but Milka blocks up more of the run off area.
