My wife brought our 07 Magnum in for a rattle in the sun roof and a slight schweel in the brakes. The car only has 16k on it (of course its still under waranty) and my wife came home $530.00 dollars light with new pads, rotters and a anti skwheel kit.
I feel we have been robbed.

Thoughts

And how do you spell skwheel?

I was just looking at the bill, and it was just the fronts.
I don't know what a "Brake squel kit" is, but im going to find out. But if i knew it would cost anything i would have takin the rotors off took them over to my buddys work place (NAPA) and roughed up the surface on the laithe the pads had at least a nother 35 or 40k left on them, i just figured since it in for the sunroof i have them do it.
Oh well, live and learn.

Have your wife call the Service Manager, discuss the charges with him/her. Be even better to do this in person.  Any REPAIRS due to quality or workmanship required while the vehicle is still under the factory warranty are the responsibility of the manufacturer.......not the owner.

Be sure she can recall the details of the conversation she had with the Service Advisor/Consultant. Might wanna' write them down before she has this visit.

If you don't get the satisfaction you are looking for......contact the Dealership General Manager, or possibly the Owner.

Still not satisfied.......contact Dodge Customer Assistance. (1-800-992-1997) When you call Dodge, be sure and have the VIN and mileage of the vehicle. Have a copy of the invoice available when discussing the situation with them.

Try those things in that order.........lemme' know what happens.

Wear items are covered for 12m or 12,000 miles whichever occurs first.  Although a 5STAR dealer can and should get this repair covered unless there is visible evidence of misuse.  I would contact the Service Manager for some assistance.   $530.00 is rather expensive for front brake pads, they must have replaced the front rotors for some reason.  They should have resurfaced the rotors and cleaned up the pads as long as they were not grooved up in any way.  Less than $100.00 for that kind of repair.

Even with new rotors it shouldn't be that much unless they're autographed by Kasey Kahne.

32,000 miles, this time i had the rotors turned and put the pads on (front only) myself.  85.00
Still can't believe its eating brakes that quick.
We are not hard on the brakes.  Oh well.
