In case you missed it, Reeve Kruck has announced that his WoO team is for sale.  There have been rumors of American buyers.  Guess we'll see.  Bad deal for Tatnell.  Looks like the team did Pittman a favor.

Yeah, it's a shame.  That makes two years in a row that Brooke has had his car sold out from under him after Nationals.  From a very close source to the team, Kruck has spent minimal money on the team this year, mostly working off the existing parts inventory.  That plus the usual coming together of a crew and driver may explain some of the weak results from Brooke this year.

Big G, I think you nailed it with your comment on the funding for this year's team.  I think it's safe to say that they have not put their best foot forward in terms of equipment.  The article cites concerns over the WoO.  It has been a while since I've heard a lot of public moaning about the leadership.  The comments were vague so we have no idea what he's talking about.

Like Buford says, the comments by Reeve in the article are very vague....

It seems to me that if Reeve were really upset with the WoO and its leadership, he'd have been a little more outspoken. I think that there's something else here....

And do you think that if Brooke had won 5 or 6 races this year that Reeve would NOT have shut the team down?

I was thinking the same thing though I don't think he committed the resources this year to get anything near that many wins.  The whole thing is a little puzzling.  Why do you switch drivers if you're not planning to jump in with both feet and only to turn around and put the operation up for sale roughly halfway through the season?

They have discussed this for a week or more over at H/H...ad naseum!
The "word" from down under seems to be the team will be sold AFTER KNOXVILLE!
Time will tell.
I asked how many cases of Vegamite it would take to buy the team but got no answer!

Buford.   Sometimes we think of our sprint car guys as having (star power).  We would assume that the biggest stars shoul win races by jumping teams.  Pittman was lucky and evidently this looks like he was given a favor!!

Agreed on things working out for Daryn.  I just don't understand why you'd go through the hassle of a driver change if you were planning to underfund the team in the upcoming season and then put it up for sale before the season's end.  Since all of us are so far removed, it boils down to a guessing game, but not much of it adds up.

The owner says the fun went out of it, but given the lack of commitment to the team really from the outset of this season, he wasn't setting himself up for much fun.  And I'd still like to know what the WoO did to whiz in his Cheerios.  I know the team was DQ'd at Dodge City for an illegal wing, but you wouldn't think that would be enough to drag out the "for sale" signs.
