I dont even think its close. The 1919 White Sox were the far bigger cheaters than the Patriots. The Patriots didnt fix games. They cheated to win. They still had to go out and execute the plays, and furthermore they only taped run throughs and play patterns, they didnt have the other team's playbook or a spy on the other team. They could not control what happened. Sure they knew what was coming at times, but they still had to make the plays and execute on both sides of the ball. The White Sox could control what happened. They could miss ground balls, over through infielders and intenionally strikeout or run a little slower.

The Chicago White Sox were payed off to intenionally throw the World Series. Before the series started, bettors began placing large amounts on the Reds to win as they knew a fix was possibly in. Some of them were only included because they threatened to tell if not. Joe Jackson never understood what he had gotten into and his life was threatened.

I've read a bit on the black sox scandal and its truly dispicable what they all did. I believe Jackson as his '19 Series stats further prove, was innocent. His lawyers forced him to plea guilty and he did in fact accept payment, but he had an awesome series.

To answer the question, both are horrible and granted, we dont know everything there is to know about what the patriots did and its almost certain we dont know everything about the black sox scandal. In the end, the white sox players had full control over their actions and what they were doing and thus makes them the bigger cheaters.

One team played bad for a week. The other is filling their fists with Championship rings by cheating. I say Jimmie Johynson/Chad Knaus/Hendrick Motorsports win this contest hands down

Bill,anyone that watched the last game of the season knew the Giants D was mean.They put Brady on his butt then many times also.Brady got them the lead late defense failed.

Smyce's arguement is very well written and I agree, even though I do not like the Patricheats* and am VERY glad they did not win the Superbowl.
