As Ricky Carmichael soldiers on through his last full season on the AMA Motocross circuit, pieces are starting to fall in place as to what exactly his plans are for 2007 and beyond. I know this was the other day, but if this turns out to be true and he signs the contract, this is going to be a big signing for Gibbs..I hope that if Carmichael signs that he will develop into a good driver and make it into Cup eventually!!

UPDATE: If Motocross racer Ricky Carmichael wants to give NASCAR a try, Joe Gibbs Racing will find a seat for him. J.D. Gibbs said Sunday the team has had preliminary discussions with Carmichael, who many consider the greatest motocross racer of all time. "We're just talking to him, like a "Hey, if it ever comes up and you are interested in doing something, let's brainstorm,' " Gibbs said. Carmichael is expected to make the 2007 season his final one in Motocross, and Gibbs said he didn't think it would take him long to adjust to stock-cars if Carmichael wanted to give them a try.(FoxSports/AP)(7-24-2006)

And I remember when he won 3-4 straight  Jeremy McGrath siad that he would never be as good as him...HA! I hate that pr ick!! Go Ricky...although I don't really watch mot-x that much.

RC is the GOAT by a mile!! The Gibbs ride would be a great one for him to take!!
