The difference in IRL Koolaid and CCWS Koolaid is night and day. I'll spell it out for you: IRL flavor makes you think your series will survive if only for the big date in May, makes you like cars passing, makes you think single-file follow the leader racing is boring, makes you think that the U.S. is a good place to race.
CCWS? You think your shtt smells like roses, that pink tires are COOL, that push to pass is NOT a video game gimmick, that Nelson isn't just an 80's hairband, that F1 sets the best example for how to run a series, that racing at an airport in Waichong Province, Taiwan (hold it... that race was scheduled and just cancelled. SORRY) is a smart business model for sponsors in the United States, that if pass someone it should be in the pits and not on a race track, that watching a race in person is boring but that hospitality tents with Kenny G in the background are awesome.
OK... one other sidenote about Franchitti and his ego being parked for the weekend... I haven't read much about him or his contract or how badly he was hurt running another racing series on his off-weekend, but it can't be a good sign for him returning to AGR next year.
You probably shouldn't fly internationally with a concussion, but they pulled the plug on him pretty quickly it seemed. Is there trouble in paradise with his extraordinary contract demands? I mean, he thinks he should be paid triple what anyone else does apparently despite not winning that many races and heaven forbid a championship.
Does this mean we've seen the last of the Franchitti attitude and his rambling "see how smart I am, I'm really not loopy at all" wife at the IRL races or just the end of AGR or is everything hunky dory??????
