The plots thicken

August 3, 2006 -- More than one-third of Americans suspect federal officials assisted in the 9/11 terrorist attacks or took no action to stop them so the United States could go to war in the Middle East, according to a new poll.

The survey also found that 16 percent of Americans speculate that secretly planted explosives, not burning passenger jets, were the real reason the massive Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed.

The national Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll of 1,010 adults also found that anger against the federal government is at record levels, with 54 percent saying they "personally are more angry" at the government than they used to be.

I know it's not a left wing rag...

I think the conspiracy theory that bombs were detonated inside the Trade Centers was debunked in a  magazine by some engineers . I'm thinking Popular Mechanics maybe. A totally non-biased article.

I'm usually on the left on most things, but even I thought that one was a little hard to swallow.

Its funny how some conspiracy therorists just gobble up any thing that paints the government in a poor light. I would suggest that same gulibility exists at the other end that allows some to believe the opposite without looking into the facts.

For me the truth is somewhere in the middle.

While at the airport I spied a September edition of Popular Mechanics. On the cover it had the Headline "SEN. JOHN McCAIN  Takes on 9/11 conspiracy myths". I thought cool

maybe some new facts, so I bought one. To my disappointment not a single new fact or or

 explanation. Just a typical speach about heroism, sacrifice, Evil itself hyjacking a peaceful religion, Blah, Blah, Blah. And an opportunity to buy now @$14.95 a hard cover copy with foreword by Seator John McCain.

I wish our government would have taken the time to better document and record exactly what happenend and how. Maybe Bush's poll numbers could get back into the 40's if they did.

The truth wasn't told about Kennedy. The truth isn't being told about 9/11. Imagine whats in store for us next?
