He said 112, but meant 112 billion. That will probably be obvious. This lasts about 5 minutes.

The shame is only people who listen to Rush or read these posts will hear this. The majority of the others, if they were to hear this, really wouldn't care. Their remark would be, Why doesn't that ### Bush do something about it? He's sleeping with big oil.

I was going to post another segment of his show where he addressed that mindset, but decided not to. It was too long and they probably wouldn't stick with it anyway.
They would probably think I was trying to convert them to Rush, which is not my intent and then, faster than a Dale, Jr. thread can go to hell, the discussion would be over.
Think throw the baby out with the bath water.

I believe that something can be done. Look back at the immigration debockle, that amendment got tabled for a reason, it was pressure from the constituants. There is no reason that the same presure can't be brought to bare for this cause. Look, I don't care if gas stays in the mid three dollar range, I can deal with that, I am more concerned with the fact that it goes to six or ten dollars. Each and everyone of us have an E-Mail list of friends and we have multipule websites that we checkout, its a matter of getting the word out. This, like immigration , touches everyone from the poorest to the richest. I hear Rush whining yesterday about the price of jet fuel and I think he would be classified as rich. Don't get me wrong, I am a Rush fan, just trying to make a point. It would be a matter of phone calls and E-Mails to your local congressman, to your state ellected officials and to the federal congress. Looky here, I have fifteen people on my E-Mail list, if I emplore them to follow through and they inturn do the same, in a very short span of time, you can have a ground swell. Boycotts don't work, there just a splase in the pan, but pressure on an elected official with an upcoming election could get the attention needed. So, what do ya think? Duane
PS I think an unintended consequence would be lower prices for crude on the world market, almost immediately, maybe Hugo and the boys could choke on some of that oil.
