DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR has suspended Amanda S. Mathis, a team member for the No. 22 Toyota driven by Scott Speed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, for an infraction that occurred during the June 14 event at Michigan International Speedway.
Mathis has been suspended from NASCAR until July 30 and placed on probation until Dec. 31 for violating Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing); and 12-4-F (any member who participates in fights or altercations in the pits or on the race premises) of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series rule book.
Mathis was involved in a June 14 pre-race altercation with track security officials.
