Out there?? How about "down there" for NWFAN and the misses we will be attending the Gold Cup for the seventh year in a row. Great show and a nice place to work on your tan. As far as Calistoga it is a beautifull place, great town and all but it is like watching hot laps!! Anyone remember the WOO at Portland six or seven years ago??? Terrible..............The race at Calistoga is not a race, hot laps. But, it a great place for horsepower...............

I will be heading to both. Calistoga is not the best racing you'll see but there is speed and history at that place. The races the last couple of years have been better than years past. Schatz and Steve K. went at it pretty hard.
The Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico is on my list of "can't miss" races. I'll get there in time for the Civil War race on Wednesday.
If you like bullring racing, you must visit Chico at least once in your life.

I'll be at both. The WOO races in Calistoga last year were every bit as good as Gold Cup. The partying, now that is a different story. lol
I think the racing at Stoga will be very good again this year if the track prep is done properly. Out west WOO isn't the favorite organization but I'm really going to enjoy seeing some new drivers out here this year. And ya never know who might show up. I think the locals like JA and Kent will be racing harder than usual at the 1/2 mile. Can't wait for the Harvest Classic and Gold Cup.
And I do think it's time for the Gold Cup to be brought back to California! ![Smile [:)]](/emoticons/smile.gif)

Yes, we know about turn four. Been sitting there about five years now with bobcatboy and his family. Look for the guy with the four foot camera lens, that's bobcatboy. The action is always the greatest inturn four and wouldn't miss the Gold Cup for anything, see you there...............

I will be at both and am going to Hanford too. Should be a fun week. My brother is coming to CA from WI for that week also. The only sprint car racing he has seen is Knoxville Nationals. Quite a different experience from alot of perspectives.
Gary - You picked a heck of time to miss a race. Don't worry, I got it all on film for you. I should have them posted sometime tomarow

The rain must be affecting you NWFAN. Stoga' far and away had better racing last year. As well as far less cautions!
