I have vacation scheduled for that week.  If the weather behaves and I get some things done early in the week, I plan to make the trip.

(I may be slightly biased as I help Tracey with some promotions/sponsorship for this event, but..)

- Where else can you find one class of sprint cars that runs about 17 races/night for 3 straight nights?

- Around 100 sprints that ALL race 3 straight nights?*  *Exception, top 3 that lock in on Thursday night.

- A sprint show that pays $15,000+ to win and NO DTT's! (Dreaded Time Trials.) The STN uses the wildly popular 'Sprint Bandit' format:

Draw for heats (approx. 8-9), points paid by finishing position and passing. Then the top 40 in heat points go to 4 qualifiers (inverted, of course), the balance of the field goes to 4 last chance races. The top 4 in each of those tag the qualifiers. Then after the 4 qualifiers, that night's A feature is lined up straight up on overall points. Then only the top 3 on Thurs/Fri are locked into the Saturday A feature.

Feeling tingly all over yet? This is the one event each year that I absolutely won't miss. Each year it gets bigger and better.

And during the daytime, you can check out the vendors in the STN Trade Show/Midway. If you'd like to check out the details, just go to www.darinshort.com/STN.html .

Hope to see you all there on Oct. 26-28, for 3 great days and nights of action - and it won't cost you an arm & leg for tickets either. I think it's about $49 total for the grandstands.

$12 + $12 + $25 = $49 for all three nights of racing.  And, the Frito Chili Pie is a culinary delicacy!Big Smile [:D]

And, if you sit near Woody and Mike, it's all the chocolate you can eat.

PS: and if I recall correctly, if you purchased grandstand seats in advance, the Saturday ticket price drops to $20. I'll find out if Tracey is going to do this again. And, GladBrad, we'll have to meet up there this year and chew the fat! I'll have to come up with some sort of a get-together at my booth in the trade show (grilling sounds like a good excuse to me!).

Ditto on the get together.  We have forum friends coming in for the STN from all directions.

And, discount tickets have been available in the past to drop the cost for all three nights to $40.00.

Keep up the good work.

Try "Denton's Trotline" in Benton for good Catfish, "3 Sam's BBQ" in Mabelvale for BBQ+Homemade Tater Salad+Homemade Pie and there is a new Mexican restaurant in Bryant on Hwy 5 that brings it.

There is a new IHOP, Chili's, Starbuck's and Applebeas in Benton.
