Just back from DEga and the Biggest *** race in Nascar history. You can thank Jimmy Johnson the Crying little ***.Waltrip pushed him one time and he went to Helton Crying. They Sat Waltrip out and came up with the BS no Pushing in the turns rule. They were pushing each other through the turns in 1990!!!!

Then the litlle sniveling *** rides around in the back like the Coward he is.Till the real racers have problems and then he STEALS a top 10.

He's a disgrace and I'll never call him Champ.

You can tell that ******** not from the south. No *******.

I love having you around - if nothing else for the comedy relief!

Dang!  This year is NOT turning out at all like I hoped, but even though JJ isn't my kinda guy I grudgingly have give credit where credit is due.  That is still in my book mainly to Chad...

Sorry folks you may not like it, but Jimmy's main goal is the fouth championship. If the case is a war then there are ten individual battles. In the end, it doesn't matter how many of the battles a team wins, what matters is winning the war.
Jimmy went into Talladega needing to limit his losses. Getting caught in an early wreck wouldn't do that. The other drivers had no choice but to try and capitalize on his caution. Johnson put them in that weak position by out running them in the privious six races.

You may not like it but he raced smart with his eye on the target, the unprecedented fouth consecutive championship.

Sad...

Tony and Ryan ran around in the back most of the day, and no one says a word about their tactics....If you don't like Jimmie's race style, well, that's OK, but until you've driven a 3500 lb. car over 180mph in a pack of 42 cars, you don't have the RIGHT to call him chicken****. A lot of NASCAR drivers have done similar things at plate races, but few have called them names.

And since results are what really matters, look how well running in the front of the pack worked out for Jeff........

It seems to me that you're just ticked that Kyle ended up having a pretty lousy year........

Johnson did what he had to do.

It almost bit him in the bud.

Newman's fancy move on the back stretch allowed him to gain some all important track position. Up to that point, he was mired in the back of the pack and wasn't moving forward with only a few laps to go.

The resulting caution, green/white/checkered, also gained him some track position when some cars pitted for fuel.

The final caution was his saving grace.

If the race would have gone to the finish caution free, he would not have had the finish he got.

On a cautious race strategy (smart really), he got lucky when he waited too long to make his move.

The NASCAR gods are shining on the 48 team and the angels are on his shoulder.

JJ is JJ.  He is the best out there right now and he has the complete package.  If there wasn't attrition I don't think he finishes in the top 15.  I am not sure he had the car to do anything last Sunday he just got lucky.  It is what it is.

Jr had the best car for 5 years When was this and why didn't he do anything with it.

If Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin and Dale Jr have the ability to drive the exact same cars with the same setup and JJ smokes them every week does that not make him a better driver?   All you will hear is different drivers like different setups well if Jeff wants to go fast obviously he needs to learn to drive a car like jimmie.  Its no accident he has more speed, its driver ability pure and simple.   When JJ has problems with a setup at times he has gone to Jeffs setup and actually beat him with it, i think thats pretty impressive myself.

The only one that has been able to keep up with JJ is Mark Martin.

I'll bet that you never raced where tactics and strategy were part of the total deal; 500 miles is way different than a 30 lapper on the local 1/4 or 3/8 mile oval. It's well known that in order to win on a small track, one has to CHARGE, be on the gas from the drop of the green flag. It's way different on a 2 1/2 mile track...

Like I said, numerous drivers have used the same tactics as JJ did at Dega; it's too bad that some choose to bash him for his finish there and his good fortune at the end of the race..

As fas as it being a "lousy " year, most of the major Cup teams(HMS, Roush, JGR, EGR) measure their success by wins and by achieving and participating in the Chase. Last I looked, while Kyle had won four races, he missed the Chase. He's currently racing for 13th in the points, which is as good as he'll get this year. And his truck and Nationwide wins are more a case of a "bully" team jumping on the small teams. NASCAR should not allow major Cup teams to participate in any feeder series, or at least find a way to help make the smaller, lesser funded team become more competitive in those series.
