Folks and this man has a attitude and a dislike for Ambrose .Boris Said will co drive in the Legendary 1000 race At Bathurst

PAUL Morris is a motor sport addict.

He will feed his habit again this weekend when he combines high-pressure duty in a V8 Supercar with recreation in a mini-me Commodore in the Aussie Racing Cars class at Albert Park.

It will be business as usual for Morris, who did double duty in the V8 Supercar contest at Eastern Creek last weekend.

He was crashed out of the main game while heading for a top-10 result in his Supercheap Commodore, but rebounded with victory in the Aussie racer.

"I do it because I like it, and because I can. I just love racing," Morris said yesterday.

"We've knocked the dents out of the V8 and put some new parts on it, and given the Aussie a polish before we head down to Melbourne."

He knows things will be tough on both fronts at Albert Park but has no doubt about his chances.

"I'm coming to win. I'll give it a go, in both cars," he said.

Morris is so hooked on racing he will compete in six different competition categories this year. He is a genuine top-10 chance in V8 Supercars, a winner in the Aussie cars, leads the Australian HQ championship, and is also up for racing in a production-class BMW, a historic touring car and even a speedway midget. "Racing is racing, it's all good," Morris said.

"I like the competition. I love a ripper race."

As the only V8 Supercar racer who regularly steps out of the big league, he said it was a relief to escape from the pressure and the egos.

"Racing is supposed to be fun. And what I do is fun.

"The whole V8 Supercar thing is over-analysed. And there is too much whingeing."

Morris, 40, has been racing since he was 17, but said the challenge and the variety kept him keen.

He is also planning a Nascar start with his new friend, American motorsport legend Dale Earnhardt Jr, in the middle of the year.

"I'm going to do a Nationwide series race for Junior in June in one of his Chevys. It's not a road course, he's going to make me do it on an oval," Morris said.
