it wouldn't surprise me...cashcar would be HIGHLY upset if a dodge wasn't in the chase...

Are you implying NASCAR will do something to get Kahne in the Chase? That's ludacris. Kahne is going to earn his way in. Come on. Let's not start this crap again.

The way Burton has been running in the second half of these races lately I would be VERY concerned if I was him.

Spectre, I think it will really come down to the number of debris cautions. The 9 and 8 were the class of the field tonight, but let's face it, two debris cautions and a chickensh!t speeding penalty really made for good TV drama.
What that has to do with racing escapes me, but nevertheless it seems as though it is more and more of a factor each week.

The conspiracy theorists can't help themselves........they have to find something to complain about.

Debris cautions are terrible. Gloves and chit getting tossed out of the cars. It never fails. Debris my ass.

see you guys don't understand me or what i know at all. I'm not even looking at this as a ford/gm/dodge fan...my whole career is in sports and the business side..the side you guys don't see when you place your fannies in the stands...and I see and know things you don't...but wait a minute things in sports can't be that controlled can they??? spectre, i have all the respect in the world for you, but let me tell you something and this is god honest truth...let's say we're running a tourny like the NCAA, ok?? I could set you up to lose in the first round and NO ONE watching would be the wiser...and am i meaning bribes or anyhting really underhanded?? Nope! I could set your first game with someone I personally know your team WOULD NOT match up with...and out you go...bobby knight prime example...NCAA don't like him and they try everything to screw him...tark the shark got that treatment for years also...
THAT is the things I see...along with sagging TV ratings of the races at EACH stop this year...newspaper columnists starting to believe that god(jr) and paintbucket get coddled/preferential treatment...
add that to the fact that dodge is throwing a lot of money and prestige to the sport with a F1 driver coming in and you see a ruling body that will give them some favors for a week or two..or turn their head...
...sorry if I burst someone's balloon, but this is nothing new..it goes on in every other sport just not as obviously as it does at cashcar..if cashcar has a fault it is that they're nor subtle enough in their business dealing that make the sports-entertainment they produce go around...
