"THE team may have won the Super Bowl to become this year's American football champions, but a growing number of people are starting to suspect the Pittsburgh Steelers are cursed.
Some 18 players who played for the Steelers in the 1970s and 1980s have died since 2000 - many of them in unusual or mysterious circumstances - while others have suffered unhappy events in life, such as divorce, at a far higher rate than normal."
Steroids killed a few of them. Of course, they refer to it as a curse.
Steroids were a big unknown in the 70s. Lyle Alzedo is the poster child for "Live hard, die early." Also Matuzak.
The Steelers got offensive linemen who were short.......but very quick and very strong. Their offense was built around trapping games and quickness. Very explosive. The short quick guys who got cut from the Cowboys bulked up and were starters in Pittsburgh.
Recently Denver used a similar offense and followed the smallest line in the NFL to several Super Bowls.
