(ALEXANDER, AR) -- Twenty-six year old pilot and Sherwood, AK native Chris Edens, has
announced that he will contend for Rookie of the Year during the 2008 AMP Series season.
Chris Edens will pilot the #26 Shaw Late Model powered by Danny Scott
With eleven years under his belt, this will be the first time that Edens brings his team to the
circuits within the AMP Series schedule.
Edens brings a talented crew, that will include Kevin Edens and Crew Chief J.R. Mills, to his
2008 late model arsenal; along with the strong support from his wife Amber.
The experience that backs Edens will be an added bonus to the thick talent pool that the
AMP Series has to offer. Edens is the previous winner of two Karting State Championships,
11 Karting Track Championships and 1 SKUSA National Championship and marks his home
track as the Kartways of Arkansas -- a different world from the late model madness that he
will enter in 2008.
Edens would like to thank his crew and family, along with the supporters and friends who
have helped him throughout the years and on his newest venture in 2008. The sponsors
who are making Edens' 2008 Rookie of the Year run possible are: Sherwood Tire Pros, Larry
Shaw, Danny Scott (Engine Builder), Kartway of Arkansas and Monster Energy Drinks. For
