Other forums have said it is true that he will drive in 2 races, but you would have thought that for him going for the championship in Champcars would be more important than 2 truck races

Sounds like all the uncertainty about Champ cars future and maybe IRL's as well has some of the drivers looking at rides for the next year or year after. He didn't have a long term contract or did he thought I'd read it was only for the rest of this year.

His contract is up at the end of this year with Forsythe/Indeck.  I don't think it has anything to do with the "demise" of openwheel racing, I just think he's exploring options...just like any other athlete in a stick-and-ball sport would do.

I hope he succeeds at whatever form of racing he chooses for next year.  I really like the kid!  If he gets into NASCAR, he's getting a spot in my top 3 favourites.

trish...coverage begins at 1:30 on Speed...driver intros. around 2:00 and the race itself about 2:15.  truckseries.com is the best place for updates if you don't get Speed.  Look for "Trackside"  on that site and give it a click.  It's the greatest spot for truck pics., interviews, etc.  Do some surfing over there...you'll get more info. on your guy.

BTW...AJ banged up his truck on his second lap of qualifying and any repairs will send him to the rear of the field.  Hopefully, he'll be able to move up some.  It's not the easiest track to pass on, but since resurfacing...it's suppose to be better.  :)

Fifth place at Talladega.  I wish he was going to run some Busch races this year too.  Or maybe Cup.  That would be nice.
