Teresa Earnhardt may sell DEI

It might have something to do with her not wanting to be in the spotlight even though nobody's really bothered her at all since last year's mess with her and Dale Jr. It could've all been avoided if she had given Dale Jr. the rights he deserved.
I wonder what Dale Sr. would think of this? He built the company and now it may potentially be sold off. I can't pretend to know what he would think. Do you guys think he'd be alright with it?

If this ends up being more than an Internet rumor, that would just blow. She could have bit the bullet last year and given majority control of the racing side of the company to Kelly and Dale, Jr.
The really sad part about everything that has happened to that company in the last couple of years is the airing of family issues to the general public.
I just know that Dale Earnhardt would not like seeing this happen to his family.
This really isn't a surprise I reckon. The squabble from last year, Budweiser leaving. Bringing Mark Martin and Aric Amirola in to drive the 8 car, then rumors of Martin Truex shopping around.
As a Dale Earnhardt fan, this is truly sad.

The thing that will rankle a lot of fans, regardless of if they like Dale Sr or Jr, is the way this whole thing played out. The report I saw was that she was frustrated with the NASCAR nation and the way things went down on the negotiations with Jr. Be that as it may she brought it mostly on herself. I feel as though she could have handled it differently and with more class than the way it was done. This deall shows (to me) that it's just about the money. She looks to sell the physical assests and retain all rights to the Intimadator name and Sr's likeness. Granted she was instrumental in building that part of the business for Sr into the juggernaut it is now. If it wasn't for her there would not be the marketing opportunites that exist for many other drivers as they do now. Another loser in this is Jr, unless he is one of the unamed financial backers. He deserved to be a part of his dad's team, Sr would have wanted it that way. Thanks for listening.

Gotta agree with most of that twebs.
Many in the NASCAR media had fun playing both ends against the middle last year and the bitter demons we all possess, showed up in full force for those who do not care for anything Earnhardt. It was a sorry sad state of affairs for those of us who really wanted not only Jr. to succeed, but DEI to be a force within NASCAR racing.
Teresa was 50% of what made Dale Earnhardt the marketing success that he became. Dale was the other half. As you stated that success paved the way for many other drivers.
It's becoming more obvious that Dale's 50% was much more powerful than Teresa's 50%. It's the missing ingredient and look where they are.
Again, I just think this is really sad.

You think Sr rolled in his grave last year when Jr & Teresa couldn't come to an agreement, if this happens he will be spinning. But to all of Jr Nation Jr is still better where he is now. I don't have to remind any of you that Sr drove for a different owner and was probably best for him. I would say even if Jr would have got what he should have it still would have been a smart move to drive for Hendricks.

Sr always said Teresa was the brains, but perhaps her heart just wasn't in it after losing her husband.... understandable. And please! lets not get started again on that "she should have 'given' DEI to Jr!"

Wonder if the E will still be on the cars? That's the one thing I still like about DEI.

It is apparent that by mov8ing to HMS she did him a favor. Second in points aint half bad. As far as Sr. goes, don't really think he would care. Theresa is his "step MoM" and remember peeps, blood is thicker than water. jmo
