Anybody Find The New Video Game Yet?

Now Best Buy tells me that they have it down as being "in stock" on Tuesday, Aug. 1st.

I guess one more week won't kill me...Shakehead [:shakehead]

Yeah, I was all set to go get it on the 20th, then later in the afternoon I noticed the release date changed on bestbuy.com to Aug. 1st.  It's only going to be $15 though so I can wait a few more days I guess. 

In the meantime, has anyone ever played Test Drive: Eve of Destruction?

In today's Dallas Morning News, in the entertainment section, they list the game as "OUT TODAY."

Their LENGTHY review... "Race mosquito-like cars around a dirt track.  For PS2."

WHEW, that wore me out typing all their insights after thoroughly analyzing the game!  If there would have been a RAP MUSIC soundtrack, or 9mm guns to eliminate "would be" passers, or if you could import new mechanics from terrorist cells in the Middle East, or if you could steal racecars from rivals teams and stop at a strip club on the way to the track, or if you could use gases from weapons of mass destruction in your engine for more horsepower........ they would be interested.

Until then... we're all fans of MOSQUITO-LIKE CARS.

I have to admit... standing in the pits at Eldora... they do sound like mosquito-like cars during the A main - Giant mosquitos that is

Walmart still says its out today.  I am going by there in a couple of hours to see if they have it.

 

Eve of Destruction is a cool game if you just like to wreck cars!

Don't think you'll find it anywhere. EB is usually on top of this stuff and my copy hasn't shipped out today as said, though they haven't emailed me saying it's changed dates either.

I emailed THQ and they gave me the run-around and told me to email EB, which is ridiculous. If you're a publisher, you should know when your game is coming out. Nice customer service.

The VG manager dude at BB said they were only getting 4 copies, so I'm buying 2 of them.

Look on Ebay at how much the WoO 2002 game is going for these days! The range is about $45 - $149.00! But on the other hand, you can get the Saturday Night Speedway game in the discount pile at Wal-Mart for $10.00. I have the feeling that this game will be like SNS with the addition of the Winged Sprints, and 1/4 midgets, modifieds. Hopefully the 1/4's will be raced on 1/4 midget scale tracks, instead of Williams Grove.

While on this topic, has anyone had problems with SNS freezing up?? While playing the career mode as LM Rookie and LM Pro, it always freezes and I have to reset it, then it does it again.

I have 2 SNS games, and 2 different PS2s, and it freezes on them all, so I've never been able to win everything there is because of this!!  I thought some of you computer whizzes could help me out!??!BS [:bs]

I haven't had any freezing problems, but always feel like the game is junk.  Maybe if I get my settings right on those midgets I'll like it more.  As for the fenders, well, I don't know why the wasted the disk space.

The best part of SNS, is racing the figure 8 track. Don't feel bad Buford, I've never mastered the midget setups either. I've won all the championships for them, but i'm just not as dominant on that game as I am with the Outlaw game.

I was thinking the same thing. I think it will be released, but I bet they will be hard to come by. I wonder what would be a realistic production number for a game like this, maybe.. 250,000??
