US removes uranium from Iraq

The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program - a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium - reached a Canadian port Saturday to complete a secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage crossing two oceans.

The removal of 550 metric tons of "yellowcake" - the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment - was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam's nuclear legacy. It also brought relief to U.S. and Iraqi authorities who had worried the cache would reach insurgents or smugglers crossing to Iran to aid its nuclear ambitions.


 "Yellowcake"?...but....the Democrats have said over and over that there were no evidence of WMD in Iraq. How could this be? Somebody lying.....again?

Ex-post facto opponents of the liberation of Iraq continue to lie and mislead about the WMDs in Iraq. There is strong evidence much of the WMDs was shipped out to Syria.......right before the attack started. Some of it was flown out by the Russians.

It was also authoritatevly reported that our troops found 1.77 tons of weapons grade uranium. That is enough for a moderate sized arsenal of nukes. There were plenty of WMDs in Iraq.

Bush did not lie, and people did not die needlessly. It is part of a smear campaign by the Leftists, Hate America First'ers, and the corrupt Democrats in Congress.

The only line those folks previously mentioned will hear from this story is the one that says yellowcake isn't weaponable.....until it's refined. So......for True Believers on the Left, this story changes nothing.

If yellowcake is so bleepin' innocuous........why would the CIA even care about Niger? We could just call up their Embassy and ask if we could borrow a couple of eggs and a cup of yellowcake...

Way to go, Dubya, D!ck, and Rummy.

The disconnect from reality by our friends on the Left is humorous, if not troubling.

WMD? Where?

Saddam Hussein was a WMD.
